Looks like Pure Digital just came out with a newer, slimmer version of the Flip, called the Flip Mino. The new cam has the same recording time (1 hour), is slimmer, and is now customizable (you can upload your own photo/design). But our money is still on the Flip Ultra. Why? Because it takes standard AA batteries - and any Diva who runs out of battery life while in the field will certainly not want to plug into a special battery charger and wait to capture the moment! We had fun with the Flip Ultra recently, at a beauty seminar in Los Gatos, California. A fellow Diva and I each brought our Flip cams, and I brought my laptop. Between the two of us, we recorded the entire function (over 8 hours of video) by simply swapping cameras as one reached capacity, downloaded to my laptop, and started recording again when the other reached capacity. A few extra batteries were needed, but for the most part, it was lather, rinse, and repeat! Thank you Pure Digital!
